Husband of Halyna Hutchins Talks about Anger with Alec Baldwin in Interview

The husband of late Rust cinematographer Halyna Hutchins lashed out at Alec Baldwin in an exclusive interview with NBC's Today show.

Matthew Hutchins recalled the moments after he was told of his wife's death and how he had to break the news to their nine-year-old son.

Beyond the devastation of losing his wife of 16 years, Matthew was also angry at the negligence surrounding Halyna's death including Baldwin's part in the incident:

“The idea that the person holding the gun and causing it to discharge is not responsible is absurd to me. Gun safety was not the only problem on that set. There were a number of industry standards that were not practiced and there’s multiple responsible parties.”

Baldwin did an interview previously with ABC News where he talked about what happened on the "Rust" set and waived a lot of the blame despite the gun being discharged in his hands.

"Someone is responsible for what happened, and I can’t say who that is, but it’s not me."

The Hutchins family has filed a wrongful death lawsuit that names Baldwin as a defendant, along with the film's producers and some crew members.
