It may be very awkward in the White House right now as there are growing tensions between President Joe Biden and Vice President Kamala Harris.

A former aide of Harris told CNN:

“It’s hard to miss the specific energy that the White House brings to defend a white man, knowing that Kamala Harris has spent almost a year taking a lot of the hits that the West Wing didn’t want to take themselves,”

One of the problems is that Harris did not appreciate the Biden Administration defending Transportation Secretary, Pete Buttigeg after taking extended paternity leave.

While Biden and Harris may seem like close pals, it is said that Biden sidelined Harris and views her as a potential liability. It has also been said that their relationship is extremely dysfunctional and is at a "stalemate".

“They’re consistently sending her out there on losing issues in the wrong situations for her skill set,”

A former aide of Harris stated.

“It is unfortunate that after a productive trip to France in which we reaffirmed our relationship with America’s oldest ally and demonstrated US leadership on the world stage, and following passage of a historic, bipartisan infrastructure bill that will create jobs and strengthen our communities, some in the media are focused on gossip — not on the results that the president and the vice president have delivered,”

said Symone Sanders, spokesperson to Kamala Harris said
