MISSION VIEJO (CNS) - A 36-year-old Mission Viejo man was behind bars today on suspicion of killing his mother.

Charles Seton Mosby was being held on $1 million bail on suspicion of killing 69-year-old Marie Mosby, according to Sgt. Ryan Anderson of the Orange County Sheriff's Department. The two resided together, Anderson said.

Another of the victim's sons called sheriff's deputies about 11 p.m. Tuesday saying his mother was missing, Anderson said.

When deputies arrived, they found the woman's body in the home, in the 27000 block of Cypress Lane, between Alicia Parkway and Los Alisos Boulevard, he said.

Charles Mosby was arrested elsewhere in the county on Wednesday and booked on suspicion of murder, he said.

The cause of death was pending, he said.
