@DarkSecretPlace - Bosnian Film is Dark Horse for Best Foreign Film

Quo Vadis, Aida?, a film set during the Bosnian War of the 1990's, has been garnering support for Best Foreign Film Oscar nomination. The drama, which tells the story of Aida, a translator at a UN Base in the town of Srebrenica, who witnessed the events that led to the massacre of over 8,000 Bosnian Muslims, has been praised for its realistic depiction the atrocities committed during the time.

The film hit close to home for KFI AM640's Bryan Suits, who served in Bosnia during that time. Suits admitted to trying to "pick apart the movie," but was deeply moved by the film, and felt it should be considered for the Academy Award for Best Foreign Film, despite stiff competition from films Minari, and The Man who Sold His Skin.
