Little Change to Average L.A. County Gas Price

LOS ANGELES (CNS) - The average price of a gallon of self-serve regular gasoline in Los Angeles County dropped one-tenth of a cent today for the third consecutive day to $3.207 after rising eight of the previous nine days to its highest amount since March 25.

The average price rose 2.3 cents during the nine-day run of increases, according to figures from the AAA and Oil Price Information Service. It is three-tenths of a cent more than a week ago and 4.9 cents higher than one month ago but 36.5 cents less than one year ago. It has decreased 40.8 cents since the start of the year.

The Orange County average price dropped three-tenths of a cent to $3.194 after rising by one-tenth of a cent for two consecutive days to its highest amount since March 24. It is a half-cent more than a week ago and 5.1 cents higher than one month ago but 35.2 cents less than one year ago. It has decreased 35.1 cents since the start of the year.
