Big Rig Crash Prompts Closure of Three Lanes of I-5 in Burbank

BURBANK (CNS) - A big rig crashed into at least 10 construction attenuators on the southbound Golden State (5) Freeway in Burbank this morning, spreading debris across and prompting the closure of three lanes of the freeway for about two hours.

The crash was reported near Burbank Boulevard about 3:45 a.m., according to the California Highway Patrol.

The impact of the crash sent debris and sand across the southbound lanes and prompted the closure of the Nos. 2, 3 and 4 lanes of the freeway until 5:41 a.m., when they were reopened, the CHP said.

No arrests or injuries were immediately reported.
