Gas Station Owner Drops Gas Price in Protest Of Oil Company

LOS ANGELES (CNS) - The average price of a gallon of self-serve regular gasoline in Los Angeles County dropped one-tenth of a cent today to $3.727, one day after recording its first increase since April 30.

The average price is 2.7 cents less than one week ago and 25.5 cents lower than one month ago, but 6 cents more than one year ago, according to figures from the AAA and Oil Price Information Service.

The average price rose four-tenths of a cent on Wednesday after dropping 50 times in 56 days and being unchanged the other six days.

The Orange County average price rose for the third consecutive day today, increasing one-tenth of a cent to $3.679 after increasing three-tenths of a cent both Tuesday and Wednesday. It is 2.5 cents less than one week ago and 27.3 cents lower than one month ago, but 6.2 cents more than one year ago.
