Stacey Dash is no longer in the running for a Congressional seat in California. The "Clueless" actress and outspoken Republican announced her resignation from the race today. Dash hoped to represent residents of the Los Angeles based 44th District, but says bitterness surrounding the political process would be a risk to her family's health and wellness.
In a statement released on Twitter, Dash says her political positions have been deemed controversial, but that the real controversy should be skyrocketing home prices, school drop out rates, and "dirty needles in the streets" of Los Angeles. Dash says the 44th District deserves better leadership.
