President Trump Has Arrived

President Trump arrived in California Tuesday morning just after his confrontation with now former Secretary of State Rex Tillerson. The President is here to follow up on his main campaign promise of building a border wall.

Trump's first visit to California will be short, just one day spent inspecting border wall prototypes in San Diego, a speech at the Marine Corp Air Station Miramar, and then a fundraiser in Beverly Hills at the home of an NFL owner that is expected to raise more than $5 million for the Republican National Committee.

Plenty of protests are planned by various groups including immigrants, labor, and LGBTQ activists. Also jumping into the fray are Democratic lawmakers like Gavin Newsom who took the time to post an animated video highlighting his issues with the President.

"It's official: Donald Trump finally worked up the nerve to visit California, bringing his fear-of-everything agenda with him," Newsom says in a voiceover. "Let's get real. Donald Trump's border wall is a monument to idiocy. A 1,900-mile waste of taxpayer money that — news flash — is impossible to complete."
