More Employers Threatening To Call Immigration Authorities

More employers are threatening to call immigration officials on their workers.  California labor officials say there's a growing trend of employers using the threat of calling ICE agents after the workers complain about working conditions and when and what they are getting paid.

The commission says deportation threats coming from employers have increased, from seven in 2015 to 20 in 2016 to 94 in 2017.  Immigrant rights advocates say there's been a shift in the attitude toward immigrant workers, mainly due to stepped-up enforcement by immigration officials.
