Pet hotel owner accused of killing customer's dogs

The owner of a pet boarding business in Northern California is in trouble after being accused of killing a customer's three dogs.

Pet Bath House owner Vonna Hughes called the dogs' owner saying that she was hurt when the animals were fighting.

Angels Camp police say Hughes asked the dogs' owner to pay for damages, but did not report the incident to animal services.

Later that day Hughes called the owner and said that the dogs were dead.

Angels Camp Police are accusing Hughes of illegally euthanizing the dogs, whose bodies have not been found yet.

They also allege that she had an accomplice to help her "take care of them."

David Crowe, Hughes' neighbor, told FOX40:

"She doesn't know how to treat animals. She really doesn't. I would be crushed. I feel horrible for the family that lost their dogs."
