California companies are ready to bid for border wall construction

Trump is all about jobs, and building the border wall would put a lot of good Americans to work.  It's estimated that there are 400 companies interested in submitting prototypes for the wall between the U.S. and Mexico.

The U.S. Customs and Border Protection agency said March 10th was the deadline for submitting concept ideas.

Finalists will be chosen on March 20th, and final proposals including price will be due by March 24th.

They expect to award contracts by mid-April.

As private construction firms are getting excited about winning the wall contract, Senate democrats are ready to shut down the government if any federal funding goes toward the plan.

Chuck Schumer and top dems will block any bill that includes money for the wall, and will insist that bills allow Planned Parenthood to collect taxpayer money.

Their letter announcing this plan reads:

“If Republicans insist on inserting poison pill riders such as defunding Planned Parenthood, building a border wall, or starting a deportation force, they will be shutting down the government and delivering a severe blow to our economy."

First the Republicans shut down the government, and now it looks like the Democrats will do the same.

What a bunch of losers we have in Washington.  Nothing gets done because everyone's so hysterical.
