Dennis the Menace is in trouble, yet again...

The life-sized statue, which depicts the comic character created by cartoonist Hank Ketchum, has once again been stolen from the Dennis the Menace playground in Monterey, California.

“The Dennis the Menace statue has a well-earned characterization as ‘a symbol of the goodness and happiness of the City,’” City Manager Hans Uslar said. “We are all very disappointed to see criminals have taken it once again. Hundreds of daily visitors enjoyed the cheerful welcome by Dennis the Menace. We are still hoping to recover the statue.”

The bronze statue was first stolen back in 2006 before being recast and replaced at the playground in 2007.

The statue was first placed in the Monterey playground back in 1988.
