Gary and Shannon are celebrating National Pretzel Day today by chatting with Neil Saavedra of The Fork Report about some of your favorite pretzel places! 

Haagen Dazs reveals their newest ice cream creation Chocolate Peanut Butter Pretzel Ice Cream. According to their website's description, they describe it as a chocolate ice cream and thick, creamy peanut butter are complemented by crunchy, lightly salted pretzel pieces. It can be found at your local store!  

Get in the Bunker, is a bar in New York that is participating in National Pretzel Day by serving their in-house Bavarian Soft Pretzels, along with a side of warm honey mustard sauce. The pretzel appears to be really tasty; a snapshot of it can be found on their Instagram page.  

A locally owned Philly Pretzel Factory in North Carolina is offering a FREE PRETZEL to everyone in the Charlotte area follow their Instagram for more information.  

Huss Brewing is getting twisted with their Rustic Giant Pretzel on National Pretzel Day. Join the celebration if you’re in the Arizona area!  

According to Pretzels.com, the history of the pretzel goes all the back to the beginning of the Middle Ages, in 610 A.D. Though the exact era of its conception is unknown, the most widely accepted version dates to the beginning of the Middle Ages, in the year 610 A.D.   

An Italian monk is said to have invented small pretzels known as pretiola, which were given to children as a reward for learning prayers.   

The pretzel shape is thought to have been inspired by the Christian and Catholic Churches, and the three holes represent the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.
