NORTH HOLLYWOOD (CNS) - A man who was walking on the Hollywood (170) Freeway in North Hollywood was hit by several vehicles and killed early today, authorities said.
The victim, who was said to be in his 40s, was fatally injured at about 1:55 a.m. on the northbound freeway near Sherman Way, according to the California Highway Patrol.
Information was not immediately available on the identity of the man, who died at the scene.
Officers interviewed the motorists, one of whom suffered a minor injury, but no one was arrested, the CHP reported. Three northbound lanes were closed while an investigation was conducted.
