Man Killed Inside 'Illegal Gambling Establishment' Identified

TEMPLE CITY (CNS) - County authorities today identified a man who was shot and killed in Temple City.

Deputies from the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department were called to the 9000 block of Las Tunas Drive, near Jefferson Middle School, at about 12:20 p.m. Tuesday on reports of a shooting, according to Deputy Raquel Utley.

Utley said deputies found Carlos Delgado, 29, with a gunshot wound to the chest inside ``an illegal gambling establishment.''

Delgado, who was identified by the Los Angeles County Coroner's office, was pronounced dead at the scene by paramedics.

No motive or suspect description was provided.
