Airlines Facing Many Issues... And There Is No End In Sight

One of the biggest topics as of late has been canceled flights, shortage of airline workers, and all the issues that come along with COVID-19... but things may be getting a little worse when it comes to flying.

There are a vast array of issues that are causing many airline workers to reach their breaking point. From staff members being stressed due to work conditions and understaffing to pilots and flight attendants being unable to book hotel rooms - things have been tough, to say the least.

According to Southwest Airlines, the airline's October 8th to October 11th cancellations cost them $75 million.

As the holiday season is quickly approaching, airlines are trying to hire more employees and are on the lookout for candidates that are fully vaccinated. Airlines are currently dealing with staffing shortages and in response to that airlines are cutting down their flight schedules.

With airlines cutting down their flight schedules, passengers will be feeling the effects of all of these issues. There will be fewer options for passengers looking to book flights, prices will be higher, and planes will be full.

Another big issue that airlines are facing is the rise of unruly passengers. According to the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA), there are more than 5,000 formal reports of unruly passengers so far this year. Flight attendants are now having to deal with people that don't want to abide by new rules and it's an unfortunate situation.

There is no end in sight with these difficulties that airlines are facing.
