Pedestrian Killed in Hit-and-Run in Huntington Beach; Motorist Sought

HUNTINGTON BEACH (CNS) - A pedestrian was killed today in a hit-and-run crash in Huntington Beach, and the motorist was being sought, police said.

The person, described only as a female, was fatally injured about 3:45 a.m. near Edinger Avenue and Springdale Street, according to the Huntington Beach Police Department. Information on her identity or age was not immediately available.

Edinger Avenue was closed between Springdale Street and Plymouth Lane while an investigation was conducted into the circumstances of the death.

No description was available of the hit-and-run vehicle.
