Man Shot, Killed in Lancaster

LANCASTER (CNS) - An 18-year-old man was shot to death in Lancaster after being confronted by four males, sparking an argument -- and the suspects were on the loose this morning, authorities said.

Deputies responded about 2:05 p.m. Tuesday to a call of a gunshot victim in the 600 block of Lancaster Boulevard and found the man suffering from at least one gunshot wound, according to Deputy Tracy Koerner of the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department.

The victim was taken to a hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

Investigators have learned the victim was walking eastbound on Lancaster Boulevard when he was confronted by four males and an argument ensued, followed by the shooting, Koerner said, adding the suspects were last seen running from the area.

The victim's name was not released and no suspect description was provided.
