Colonial Pipeline Restarts Operations

Colonial Pipeline has restarted operations.

  • The company announced today that things are moving again after a cyber-attack forced a shut-down late last week, leading to gas shortages on much of the East Coast.
Officials say it will take "several days" for things to completely return to normal.
  • Consumers are outraged as gas stations jack up prices on the heels of a gasoline shortage.
  • Reports indicate a Richmond gas station was charging six-dollars-and-99-cents a gallon Tuesday following the ransomware cyber attack on the Colonial Pipeline.
A spokesperson for the Virginia Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services says anyone who thinks they have been gouged by gas prices should file a complaint.
  • Have you had problems getting gas since the cyber-attack?
