Motorcyclist Killed in Pomona Crash

POMONA (CNS) - A motorcyclist was killed when he crashed into a traffic sign at an intersection in Pomona, causing a closure of the intersection for nearly six hours before it reopened this morning.

Officers responded about 7:50 p.m. Monday to the area of South Campus Drive and West Temple Avenue and found the man down, according to the Pomona Police Department.

The victim was pronounced dead at the scene.

The cause of the crash was under investigation by the department's Major Accident Investigation Team.

The intersection reopened about 1:45 a.m., police said.

The name of the victim was not disclosed.
