#TerrorInTheSkies - On The Way To Hawaii, Their Engine Fell Apart!

Picture this. You live in Denver, Colorado and have been at home for the better part of a year, because of the pandemic and you've finally made a decision to take a trip...to Hawaii!

Looking forward to warm beaches and fresh pinapple, you head to Denver International Airport and at 1:04pm, your United Fight 328, takes off....destination Honolulu, Hawaii. You and more than 200 others are on board settling in for the long flight.

Just minutes after takeoff, at an altitude of 13,000 feet there's a huge noise and as passengers looked around to see what was happening, several looked out their window and saw the engine on their side of the plane, stripped of its outer casing and on fire!

As engine parts rained down on the neighborhood, the pilots called out a "mayday" to air traffic control citing 'engine failure' and they headed back to the airport.

Thankfully, they were able to land safely and everyone is ok. No one in the neighborhoods where debris fell was hurt either, although some cars and homes were damaged.
