The Next Few Months of Covid Could Be The Hardest Says UCSD Researcher

Dr. Natasha Martin is a professor at UC San Diego, she has a doctorate degree in mathematical biology from Oxford University.

She has spent her career building models that predict how different public health measures affect the spread of infectious diseases. In the past she's focused on HIV and Hepatitis C. But as you can imagine, her skill set for the last year has been focused on Covid-19 and what the future might hold for San Diego County and the rest of Southern California.

She recently told San Diego's Board of Supervisors that her models are showing high case surges, and that the next few months might be the hardest we've seen so far.

She joined Gary & Shannon today to talk about it.
