Homeless Man Searching for Lost Service Dog, $10K Reward Offered for Return

A San Fernando homeless man is struggling after his service dog disappeared in Sherman Oaks.

Jimmy Nicholas is asking for the public's help to find his beloved dog Boots.

Nicholas, who works part-time at Start Rescue Resale Store, a thrift shop that funds pet rescue adoptions, says a woman came into the shop and offered to groom Boots.

Since she had done it before, Nicholas agreed.

However this time, he says Boots was never returned to him.

The woman claims that she had taken the dog to the park and he ran away.

Later the woman claims that two men approached her and she ran, losing Boots in the process.

After the incident, Nicholas and the store owner called the woman several times, but she never returned their calls.

A police report has been filed and a $10,000 reward is being offer for Boots' safe return.
