POMONA (CNS) - A convicted felon was in custody in Pomona this morning after drugs and a loaded, stolen firearm were found in his vehicle following a traffic stop.
Officers with the Pomona Police Department's Major Crimes Task Force stopped a driver for a stop sign violation in the 900 block of Indian Hill Boulevard and the driver admitted to having drugs and drug paraphernalia, according to Sgt. M. Medellin, who added a search of the suspect's vehicle revealed a gun.
The driver, identified as Juan Antonio Morales, 34, of Pomona, was arrested and discovered to be a convicted felon.
Morales was booked into the Pomona city jail on a variety of gun and drug violations and a warrant for grand theft auto.
