GARDENA (CNS) - A 17-year-old boy was being questioned this morning in connection with the fatal shooting of a man in the unincorporated Alondra Park area near Gardena.
Deputies responded to an assault with a deadly weapon call at about 4:10 p.m. Tuesday in the 14700 block of Chadron Avenue, near West 147th Street, and found the victim on a sidewalk, unresponsive and suffering from multiple gunshot wounds to the upper body, according to the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department.
The victim, whose name was not immediately released, was pronounced dead at the scene.
A 17-year-old male was detained by deputies shortly after the shooting and was being questioned, the department said.
