PASADENA (CNS) - A man was killed and a woman and three children were seriously injured today when a Mercedes-Benz SUV rolled over on the Ventura (134) Freeway in Pasadena.
The solo-vehicle crash happened about 2:10 p.m. on the westbound 134 Freeway near San Rafael Avenue, according to California Highway Patrol Officer Elizabeth Kravig.
The man died at the scene and the woman and three children were taken to a hospital, according to Kravig and Pasadena City spokeswoman Lisa Derderian. It appeared no other vehicles were involved.
The deceased man was believed to be in his 20s or 30s, Derderian said.
His name was withheld pending notification of next of kin.
The CHP issued a SigAlert at 2:23 p.m. after closing the numbers 2, 3 and 4 lanes for an investigation.
They asked that any witnesses contact them at their Altadena area office at 626-296-8100.
