Viral Video of White Woman Calling Cops on Black Man in NYC Sparks Outrage

A video has gone viral of a white woman calling the cops on a black man who asked her to leash her dog in New York City's Central Park.

The video was shared by the sister of the man who shot it, Melody Cooper, who explains that her brother asked the woman to leash her dog as the area they were in required it.

The video shows the woman trying to leash her dog then become furious, walking towards the man who complained.

The woman threatens:

"I'm going to call the cops and tell them there's an African-American man threatening my life!"

The man keeps filming and asks that she not come close to him.

She calls the police and repeatedly identifies the man by his race in her 911 call and demands they "send the cops immediately."

Throughout the exchange the woman is seen pulling her dog by its collar, yanking it with her as she moves around the park.

As the views of the video went up, so did the repercussions.

The woman in the video was identified and her company put her on administrative leave and the rescue where she adopted her dog from says she voluntarily surrendered him over to them.
