$130 Dollar Commercial Steals The World's Heart

A lot of big companies and big brands spend serious amounts of money on making a commercial. Especially if it's Christmas themed.

This year, a family hardware store filmed their own commercial starring the owner's 2-year-old son and it has captured the hearts of viewers all over the world. Tom Jones, who runs the family-owned Haford Hardware store in Rhayader, Wales, has been creating holiday ads and posting them on social media for nearly three years. This year he decided to do something different. This year's commercial stars his 2-year-old son Arthur, and follows him as he helps out in the store.

It didn't take long for the world to notice Arthur. Since the commercial was posted on Sunday, it has been watched nearly 950,000 times on YouTube and 236,000 times on Facebook. But how much did this commercial cost in the end? It only cost a mere $130! Not too shabby for a Christmas commercial.

Jones filmed the commercial with his best friend, Josh Holdaway. The two shot and edited the commercial in one day, and spent the $130 on a recording studio and a sound engineer for the soundtrack. You probably know the song, Alphaville's 1984 hit "Forever Young" was a perfect fit for this commercial.

What a feel good Christmas commercial. Bigger companies should take some notes on how to make a wholesome commercial.

Jones tells CNN that Arthur really comes into the store and works.

"Arthur was brilliant -- the jobs he was doing in the video were not out of the ordinary. He comes to the shop most days and tries to help out."

He went on to say that he was delighted by the reactions and he will cherish this memory forever.

Now that puts us in the holiday spirits. You feel all the love that Jones and Arthur poured into making this commercial.

If you want to check out the Hafod Hardware store, you're going to need a plane ticket to Wales. Since that might be challenging, you can visit their website or their Facebook page to watch the full commercial. Or you can scroll right back up. Either way, you definitely should watch it. Be warned, the amount of cuteness may be too much for viewers.

Happy Holidays!
