LOS ANGELES (CNS) - M. Night Shyamalan's “Glass” continued to lead the way at North American theaters over the weekend, earning $18.9 million, according to final figures released today.
“Glass” has earned more than $73.4 million in its two weeks of release, according to box-office tracker comScore.
The Kevin Hart-Bryan Cranston comedy “The Upside” took second place, earning $11.9 million between Friday and Sunday. The superhero hit “Aquaman” also continued to attract audiences, collecting $7.3 million to push its six-week take to $316.5 million.
The family friendly “The Kid Who Would Be King” opened in fourth place with $6.1 million. Animated-feature Oscar hopeful “Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse” took fifth place with $6.1 million.
Rounding out the top 10 films of the weekend were “Green Book” ($5.5 million); “A Dog's Way Home” ($5.1 million); “Serenity” ($4.4 million); “Escape Room” ($4.1 million); and “Mary Poppins Returns” ($3.3 million).
