L.A. County Gas Price Rises Again

LOS ANGELES (CNS) - The average price of a gallon of self-serve regular gasoline in Los Angeles County rose today for the ninth time in 10 days, increasing three-tenths of a cent to $3.665.

The average price has increased 3.8 cents over the past 10 days, including three-tenths of a cent on Wednesday, according to figures from the AAA and Oil Price Information Service.

The average price rose six consecutive days, was unchanged Monday and resumed increasing Tuesday.

The average price is 3 cents more than one week ago, 2.5 cents higher than one month ago and 49 cents greater than one year ago. It has risen51.5 cents since the start of the year.

An eight-day streak of increases in the Orange County average price totaling 3.9 cents ended Thursday when it was unchanged, remaining at $3.606.

The Orange County average price is 3.2 cents more than one week ago, 2.8 cents higher than one month ago and 45.2 cents greater than one year ago. It has risen 49 cents since the start of the year.
