USC Grad Student Missing, Police Ask For Public's Help To Find Him

LOS ANGELES (CNS) - A 22-year-old USC grad student is missing today and police are asking for the public's help in locating him.

Bo John Jones was last seen leaving his apartment near the 1100 block of 6th Street in Los Angeles about 4:30 p.m. on Sunday, July 8, according to a statement from the Los Angeles Police Department.

He was only carrying his cell phone when he left the apartment and the phone was located Thursday near the MacArthur Park playground, less than 2 miles from his apartment, ABC7 reported.

His father, James Jones, told ABC7 he used the Find My iPhone app to locate his son's phone, which was at a cell phone store and someone was trying to “crack it.” He retrieved the phone from a woman who said she found it in MacArthur Park.

Bo is white, 5 feet 7 inches, 140 pounds, with brown hair and blue eyes, police said. He was last seen wearing a red USC t-shirt, gray shorts and sandals.

Anyone with information on his whereabouts is asked to call the Los Angeles Police Department's Missing Persons Unit at (213) 996-1800.
