L.A.P.D. Officer Hospitalized After Shootout With Suspect

A suspect in a stolen-car was shot and killed by police following a pursuit in Los Angeles that ended in Reseda authorities said. Two officers were injured in the pursuit, with both injuries being described as non-life-threatening. 

One officer was hospitalized with a leg wound and the other was treated at the scene for cuts and bruises. 

The LAPD tweeted that the officers were in pursuit of a stolen vehicle that ended in a foot chase, and the shootout. Authorities confirmed that the suspect died at the scene. Officials didn't specify what prompted the officers to open fire on the suspect. 

Video shot by KTLA at the scene of the incident showed two male officers being loaded into ambulances at the scene. The shootout began following a pursuit near the Corbin Avenue and Hamlin near the border of Reseda and Winnetka. 

Several streets in the vicinity of the incident were closed due to the investigation.
