Authorities say the body of a missing model may have been found in Northern California, just outside of Sacramento. Nevada County Sheriff's deputies discovered the remains in a remote area just northeast of Beale Air Force Base, near a gun range.
25-year-old Adea Shabani was last seen in Hollywood on Feb. 23rd about 11 a.m. according to the Los Angeles Police Department. Friends told ABC 7 they grew worried about Shabani after she stopped responding to their text messages.
Shabani came from Macedonia and had moved to Los Angeles less than two years ago to pursue a career in Hollywood. Her family hired a private detective to help find her, and offered a $25,000 reward for information that led to her whereabouts.
Just days after Shabani disappeared, NBC 4 reports that her friends received an anonymous phone call from someone that claimed to have seen Shabani put into the bed of a truck by Spotz. She appeared to be "drugged and in danger," the caller told them.
Last Thursday, Shabani's reported boyfriend, Christopher Spotz was spotted driving a stolen Toyota Tacoma and led cops on a high speed chase in the Inland Empire, killing himself with a handgun before being taken into custody.
Spotz had acted in several short films and had a minor role in an upcoming web series titled "The Shoaks" according to IMDB.
Shabani is described as a white female with blonde hair, blue eyes, 5 feet 5 inches tall and weighing approximately 130 lbs., according to police.
