President Trump wants the death penalty for the terrorist that killed 8 people in New York City on Halloween, by plowing a rented Home Depot truck into the victims on a bike path.
Trump tweeted this morning:
"Would love to send the NYC terrorist to Guantanamo but statistically that process takes much longer than going through the Federal system…There is also something appropriate about keeping him in the home of the horrible crime he committed. Should move fast. DEATH PENALTY!"
The terrorist, Sayfullo Saipov, came to the United States from Uzbekistan through a diversity visa program. Saipov was charged yesterday by the U.S. Attorney's Office with one count of material support to a terrorist organization and one count of violence and destruction of a motor vehicle.
