Push Is On To Stop So-Called "Butt Dials" In SF

(San Francisco, CA)  --  A push is on to stop so-called "butt dials" to 911 in San Francisco.  Nearly a third of wireless 911 calls are accidental.  The majority of those mistaken dials are made when the emergency call button is hit on the unlocked screens of smartphones. 

 SF officials are launching a public information campaign to lock mobile devices, keep them away from pockets, and clear the lines for real emergencies.
