Police Investigate Reports of Gunfire at USC, But Determined No Shooting

LOS ANGELES (CNS) - Police today went to the USC campus on a report of gunfire, which prompted the university to have students and staff shelter in place, but determined that no shooting had taken place.

Officers went to the main campus about 12:15 p.m. and searched Fertitta Hall, according to the Los Angeles Police Department and the university.

About 1 p.m., the LAPD reported that there had been no shooting and there was ``no danger to the community.''
