LOS ANGELES (AP) — Authorities say they've shut down a Compton prosecution ring that involved victims ranging from children to adults.

The Los Angeles Times reports  authorities conducted a raid on Wednesday, which resulted in 36 arrests.

Authorities say 16 men were arrested on suspicion of soliciting undercover deputies for sex acts. They say four women were arrested for the same thing and 13 other women were arrested on suspicion of loitering for the purposes of prostitution.

The remaining three arrests were men charged with felony pandering.

The women were offered services from the Coalition to Abolish Slavery and Trafficking.

Officials say three children were put in the care of the Department of Children and Family Services.

Investigators identified five women as victims of human trafficking.
