Reward Doubled in Search for Missing 5-year-old Boy

Los Angeles County doubled the reward Tuesday for information leading to the safe return of a 5-year-old boy -- who was last seen April 20 while visiting with his father.

Detectives from the L.A. County Sheriff's Department say they've pursued every lead and tip that's come in, but say they feel no closer to finding Aramazd Andressian, Jr.

The reward was increased to $20,000.

The boy's mother was expected to make a public plea for his return Wednesday.

Andressian, Jr. vanished after he and his father were seen at Disneyland.

The boy's father, Aramazd Andressian, Sr., told investigators he visited the Lake Cachuma campground in Santa Barbara April 21 with his son, but detectives said they could not confirm the boy was there.

The following morning the father said he was knocked unconscious at a park in South Pasadena and can't remember what happened to the boy.

The father was initially arrested on suspicion of child abduction but was released several days later.
