3 Pit Bulls Shot, 2 Killed By Police After Attacking Man and Dog in Downtown LA

Three pit bulls were shot by police after they spotted the dogs attacking a man near downtown Los Angeles. Two were killed by officers while a third was wounded. The pit bulls attacked a man who was walking his dog along Stanford Avenue in downtown Los Angeles this morning. 

Investigators say when officers saw the man being attacked, they opened fire, hoping to save him from being mauled by the three pit bulls. 

Two dogs were pronounced dead at the scene while a third was wounded. The man's dog was killed in the attack. The man was rushed to a nearby hospital where his condition is currently unknown.
