L.A. Police Commission President 'In Favor' of Defacing Donald Trump's Star on Hollywood Walk of Fame

TMZ caught LA Police Commission President Matt Johnson as he was walking out from dinner the other night and asked him what he thought about people vandalizing Donald Trump's star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.

For someone whose job is to be tough on crime, Johnson is surprisingly flippant about the photographer's question, laughing and saying that he's in favor of it.

"Hey what do you think of the ongoing defacing of Donald Trump's star of fame?" the photographer asks.

"I'm in favor of it," Johnson replies as he and his friend are heard laughing on the video.

The photographer presses Johnson, asking if he thinks Trump's star should be removed entirely from the Walk of Fame.

"I'm definitely in favor of getting rid of the star!" Johnson says.

Ever since he declared his intention to run for President, Donald Trump's star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame has had a rough go (which has only gotten worse since he was elected in November).

Last year, one guerrilla artist placed a mock wall around Trump's star (referencing the famed border wall Trump wanted to build along the Mexican/US border). In October, James Otis attempted to destroy the star with a pick ax and a sledgehammer. He ultimately pleaded out with prosecutors and was ordered to pay $700 to the Hollywood Chamber of Commerce which maintains the famous strip, and another $3,700 to the Hollywood Historic Trust.

Last month, another person wrote 'F*** Trump' on the star while just last week, someone else installed a golden toilet next to Trump's star with the words "Take a Trump" written on the golden throne.

Trump received his star (which is located just outside the Hollywood and Highland Center on Hollywood Boulevard) in 2007 for his work on NBC's hit reality TV show the Apprentice.
