Comedians Come Under Fire for Making "Inappropriate" Trump Jokes

Political satirist Bill Maher is being blasted for making an incest joke about the President and his daughter Ivanka.

On his show Real Time, he was speaking with New York magazine reporter Gabriel Sherman when the topic of the first daughter came up.

Maher said:

"We see all this misogyny at Fox News, we see it in Donald Trump himself. A lot of us thought, Ivanka is gonna be our saving grace."

He then took it further and mimicked Ivanka performing a sexual act on her father.

"When he’s about to nuke Finland or something, she’s gonna walk into the bedroom and—'Daddy, Daddy…Don’t do it, Daddy.'"

When Maher asked if Sherman saw Ivanka that same way, he responded with a no.

"I think, again, she's on the margins trying to save us—to the degree that she can—but Donald Trump doesn't listen to anybody, including his own family."

People responded with anger and disgust at Maher's comments.

Last November, Maher made similar jokes about Ivanka during a stand-up set at the Los Angeles Largo comedy club.

"Be nice to Ivanka, she's our only hope—because she seems like she actually knows rationality, but she's [Trump's] kid, and she's the only one who can get to him, and you know he loves her.

If he's going to do something nutty, we're going to depend on Ivanka going into that bedroom. "Daddy, Daddy! You have to apologize for that tweet where you called Angela Merkela a 'c***.' You have to apologize, Daddy!"'

Stephen Colbert isn't doing much better as the FCC is looking at whether or not his joke about the President warrants a fine.

Last week, the talk show host was criticized for a Putin-Trump joke he made during his monologue.

Now, since the FCC says they've received so many complaints about the monologue they have decided to launch an investigation using "standard operations procedures, as we always do."
