Man flees scene of rollover crash leaving 10-year-old stepson behind in upside-down car

A suspected drunk driver ran away from the scene of a rollover crash, leaving his 10-year-old stepson stranded behind according to authorities. 

Anaheim police later discovered the stepson inside the overturned vehicle. The boy was unharmed after the early Sunday morning crash according to authorities. 

The 29-year-old driver was traveling at a high rate of speed down neighborhood streets when he lost control of his vehicle and crashed into a parked car according to a report from the Orange County Register. The vehicle rolled over, and the driver fled the scene on foot. 

The driver was later located and arrested a few block away from the scene of the accident. 

The Anaheim man was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence, hit-and-run, and child endangerment. 

The boy was later released to his mother.
