It was supposed to be some innocent fun, but now Rod Stewart probably doesn’t want to talk about it.
The 72-year-old singer is facing backlash after his wife, Penny Lancaster, uploaded a video of him to Instagram pretending to behead a friend on an Abu Dhabi dune.
However, people quickly noticed that his video was eerily similar to an ISIS-style beheading. The post has been taken since been taken down from the her account.
Stewart is defending himself by saying he was only re-enacting a scene from “Game of Thrones.”
“From re-enacting the Beatles’ Abbey Road crossing to spontaneously playing out Game of Thrones, we were simply larking about about pre-show,” said Stewart.
